Blood Abilities

Strength- Blood Abilities vary in strength from Minor, to Major and Greater, to True. Some Blood Abilities have multiple parts, such as a (Minor) and a (Major) component, and each part needs to be chosen separately. Many Blood Abilities have Feat prerequisites. Like feats, you can only choose each Blood Ability once unless otherwise specified. For this condition, it is considered a separate blood ability if it is of a different power level. For example Light of Reason (Major) is a separate power from Light of Reason (Great), and each can be chosen only once. Unlike Feats, Blood Abilities cannot be retrained.

Derivation- Next to each Blood Ability is a list in [brackets] of all of the Bloodline derivations which are eligible to choose that ability.

All Blood Abilities that are Spell-Like (Sp) Abilities have a Save DC of 10+ Spell Level +your Charisma Modifier. Unlike normal SLAs, Blood Abilities are Divine, not Arcane. Unless otherwise specified, Blood Abilities have a caster level equal to your Character Level + your Bloodline Rank.

Blood Abilities that are Supernatural (Su) abilities and allow a saving throw have a Save DC of 10+ 1/2 your Character Level +1/2 your Bloodline Rank +your Charisma modifier.

Minor Blood Abilities

Blood History (Minor) [Brenna, Masela, Vorynn]
You are able to call upon ancestral memory to make Knowledge checks untrained. Doing so is taxing and requires a Standard action. If you have the Bardic Knowledge class ability, you gain a +2 bonus on all such Knowledge checks.

Blood Sense (Minor) [Reynir, Brenna, Vorynn]
Once per day you can sense the presence of divine Bloodlines in the area. This ability functions like Detect Magic except as follows:
Round 1- The presence or absence of Scions.
Round 2- Number of Scions and the Bloodline Strength of the strongest Scion.
Round 3- The strength and location of each scion.
You can use Knowledge (Nobility) to discern the specific Bloodline Derivation of a scion.

Bonus Feat (Minor) [All]
You gain a single bonus feat. This can be of any category, but you must still meet the prerequisites.
Special: You can use this ability to gain the Blooded Scion feat after 1st level. You must choose the same Bloodline Derivation.

Forest Walk (Minor) [Reynir]
The Scion is under the continual effect of a Pass Without Trace spell. This effect can be suppressed or resumed as a free action.

Heightened Ability (Minor) [All]
When you choose this Blood Ability, you gain a permanent +2 bonus to any one ability score.

Long Life (Minor) [All]
You may use Age Resistance, Lesser once per day as a spell-like ability. Your Maximum Age is increased by 5 years per Bloodline Rank.

Major Blood Abilities

Adherent to the Sun [Basaia]
Prerequisites: Arcane Caster Level 1st
Choose a Divine spellcasting class from the following: Cleric, Druid, Ranger. You may add any 3 0, 1st or 2nd level spells from that class to your class list. Any spell you cast in the light of the sun is cast at +1 caster level.

Animal Affinity (Major) [Reynir, Masela]
Prerequisites: Animal Affinity feat
You gain the ability to speak with animals. This functions as Wild Empathy class ability, except you use your Bloodline Rank instead of your Druid level. If you have levels in a class that gives Wild Empathy as a class ability, you may add both bonuses together. Furthermore, once per day you may use Charm Animal and Beast Shape I as spell-like abilities with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank.

Backlash (Major) [Anduiras, Reynir]
You strike back at those who penetrate your defenses. Whenever an adjacent enemy confirms a critical hit against you, that enemy also provokes an attack of opportunity from you. If you have used all of your attacks of opportunity for the round, you may expend one Regency Point to make this attack of opportunity anyway.

Battlewise (Major) [Anduiras]
Activating this ability as a free action costs 1 Regency Point. In combat, all allies within 10 feet per Bloodline Rank gain a +1 Insight bonus to Attack Rolls and AC for 1 minute. This bonus increases by 1 for every 5 Bloodline Ranks you attain to a maximum of +3 for individuals with a True bloodline. This is a Supernatural ability.
Special: While you command an army, add your Bloodline Rank to all Morale checks to change tactics or to recognize deceptive enemy tactics.

Berserker’s Blood [Reynir, Vorynn]
Whenever you are struck by a critical hit, or if you gain the Sickened or Shaken condition, you may enter a blood rage as a free action on your next turn. This functions as a Barbarian’s Rage ability except as follows. A blood rage lasts a number of rounds equal to 3+ your Charisma Modifier. While in a blood rage you have difficulty telling friend from foe. You cannot voluntarily end this rage before the end of its duration. At the end of each of your turns in which you did not make a melee attack against another creature, you must make a Will save with a DC equal to this power’s DC (10+ half your level+ half your Bloodline Rank+ your Charisma modifier). If successful, the rage ends, if unsuccessful you gain the Confused condition until the end of your next turn.

Blood History (Major) [Brenna, Masela, Vorynn]
Prerequisite: Blood History (Minor)
You become more in tune with your bloodline and are able to call on ancestral knowledge and experiences. You can use all skills untrained and gain a bonus in all such skills, as well as Knowledge (History), equal to half your Bloodline Rank. Furthermore you can, as a standard action, temporarily gain the use of a Skill Perk ( Skill Perk you don’t have but for which you meet all prerequisites, including lower level Perks. You may continue to use this new Perk until you activate this ability again, at which time you choose a different perk. You may not have more than one such “bonus” perk at any given time. If you spend a Regency Point you can reassign this perk as a Swift action.

Confidence [Brenna, Masela]
The Scion gains 2 uses of Action Points per day. These can be used to call upon the Lucky, Dodge or Powerful Cast benefits ( See: House Rules-Action Points) or to activate Skill Perks, but not any ability that specifically calls for Regency Points, or for the Last Stand or Resilience uses for Action Points.

Courage (Major) [Anduiras]
Prerequisites: Courage feat
You become immune to Fear effects. Allies within 5 feet of you per Bloodline Rank gain a +4 Sacred bonus on saves vs. Fear effects.
Special: While you command an army, you may add your Bloodline Rank on all Morale checks against Fear or to prevent from being Routed.

Disciple of the Moon [Vorynn]
Prerequisites: Divine Caster Level 1st
Choose an Arcane spellcasting class from the following: Magus, Wizard or Bard. You can add any three 0, 1st, or 2nd level spells from that class to your class spell list. Any spell you cast in the light of the moon are cast at +1 caster level.

Divine Aura (Major) [All]
You have an almost imperceptible halo of light which provides you with a +2 bonus on all Charisma based checks. You can suppress or resume this as a free action. Once per day when this aura is in effect you can use Enthrall as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank. Creatures with a Bloodline Score are immune to this ability.

Divine Wrath (Major) [Anduiras, Brenna, Masela]
Once per day you may use Divine Favor as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank. If you spend a Regency Point, you may activate this ability as a Swift action.

Forest Walk (Major) [Reynir]
Prerequisites: Forest Walk (Major)
You may ignore difficult terrain penalties due to impediment by plants, including the Entangle spell. Furthermore, you gain a +4 on saving throws against spells that would determine your location or lead someone to you, such as Scrying.

Healing Touch (Major) [Anduiras, Basaia, Reynir]
Prerequisites: Healing Touch feat
The Scion can use Lay on Hands one additional time per day and may choose a single 3rd level Paladin Mercy to apply to his Lay on Hands ability.

Heightened Ability (Major) [All]
You gain a +2 bonus to any one ability score.

Life Sense (Major) [All]
Prerequisites: Enhanced Sense feat.
You gain Blindsense to a distance of 30 feet, but can only detect living creatures.

Light of Reason (Major) [Basaia]
Prerequisites: Light of Reason feat.
Once per day you may use Daylight and Searing Light as spell like abilities with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank. You may spend one Regency Point as a Swift action to gain an additional use of one of these abilities.

Long Life (Major) [All]
Prerequisites Long Life (Minor)
You may use Age Resistance once per day as a spell-like ability. Your Maximum Age is increased by 10 years per Bloodline Rank.

Mebhaigl Sense (Major) [Vorynn]
You automatically identify any arcane spell cast within 10 feet per Bloodline Rank of you if it’s on your class’s spell list and you’re of a high enough level to cast it. Whenever you attempt to identify a non-artifact magic item using detect magic, you automatically learn its properties and command words in the first round of the spell (no Spellcraft roll needed), but you can’t automatically determine whether it’s cursed.

Mixed-Heritage Bloodline (Major) [Any]
Choose a second Bloodline Derivation. You gain a single (Minor) Blood Ability of that derivation OR gain a single [Bloodline] feat for which that bloodline is a prerequisite.

Persuasion (Major) [Brenna]
The Scion may use Suggestion as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to his character level plus his Bloodline Rank. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1/3 your Bloodline Rank.

Protection From Evil(Major) [Anduiras, Basaia]
Prerequisites: Resistance feat.
The Scion gains the continual benefit of a Protection From Evil spell.

Regeneration (Major) [Anduiras, Basaia, Reynir, Masela]
As a swift action, you can expend one Regency Point to gain fast healing equal to your Bloodline Rank for 1 minute.

Sea Song (Major) [Masela]
By singing, and listening, to a body of water you may use Commune With Nature as a Spell-Like Ability once per week with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank.

Vituperative Command [Basaia, Brenna, Masela, Reynir, Vorynn]
In mass combat, you may expend 1 Regency Point to make any army you command automatically succeed on any Morale check. That army’s morale is immediately reduced one step. Compulsion effects you create get +1 to their save DC.

Great Blood Abilities

Absord Magic (Great) [Vorynn]
Prerequisites Resistance feat
As an immediate action, even when helpless or flat-footed, you may absorb the effects of a spell that targets you. The spell instead drains a number of Regency Points from your Regency Pool equal to the spell’s level, as the magic passes through you harmlessly.

Animal Affinity (Great) [Reynir]
Prerequisites: Animal Affinity feat, Animal Affinity (Major)
You gain an animal companion as a Druid of a level equal to your Bloodline Rank. If you have an Animal Companion from Druid or Ranger levels, you may add half your Bloodline Rank to your class level when determining the abilities of your companion.

Divine Wrath (Great) [Anduiras, Brenna, Masela]
Prerequisites: Divine Wrath (Major)
Once per day you may use Divine Power as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank. If you spend a Regency Point, you may activate this ability as a Swift action.

Healing Touch (Great) [Anduiras, Basaia, Reynir]
Prerequisites: Healing Touch feat, Healing Touch (Major)
The Scion can use Lay on Hands one additional time per day and may choose a single 6th level Paladin Mercy to apply to his Lay on Hands ability.

Imperviousness (Great) [All]
The Scion gains DR/Epic equal to half his Bloodline Rank. If he has permanent, continual Damage Reduction from another source, it is added to and converted this Damage Reduction.

Heightened Ability (Great) [All]
You gain a +2 bonus to any ability score.

Light of Reason (Great) [Basaia]
Prerequisites: Light of Reason feat, Light of Reason (Major)
You can can use Daylight and Searing Light one additional time per day each. In addition, you may use Sunburst as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to your Character Level plus your Bloodline Rank. Using this ability consumes one use each of Daylight and Searing Light for that day. Unlike a normal Sunburst, the radius of the effect is 5 feet per Bloodline Rank and is centered on you. Scions of the Basaia bloodline are immune to this effect.

Long Life (Great) [All]
Prerequisites Long Life (Minor), Long Life (Major)
You may use Age Resistance, Greater once per day as a spell-like ability. Your Maximum Age is increased by 20 years per Bloodline Rank.

Regeneration (Great) [Anduiras, Reynir]
Prerequisites: Regeneration (Major)
The Scion regenerates 1 Hit Point per round as if wearing a Ring of Regeneration.

Shadow Form (Great) [Brenna]
Once per day The Scion may use Shadow Projection as a Spell-Like Ability. If you spend a Regency Point, you take on the form of a Greater Shadow instead.
